the glass children were very unique. their parents were former vaudeville dancers and as child geniuses they participated in many radio quiz shows. however, this upbringing made for very interesting adulthood. franny, the youngest of the glass family finds herself in a quarter life crisis at college. on a trip to visit her boyfriend for the yale game (presumably at princeton) her thoughts get the better of her and she struggles with the ego driven collegiate world and her spirituality. she had been reading the way of the pilgrim, which details the constantly spoken jesus prayer. having fainted, she is taken home to new york where her brother, zooey, helps her resolve her struggles. who hasn’t had a crazy existential crisis in college? seriously.
